ORIGINAL: 225tt

Cool thanks, what do you think you would need your TT to be at as far as HP numbers to run 12.0 in the 1/4mile?
Way more than a heavily modded 225. GoTTzilla is a twin turbo HPA VR6 and runs 11.52. I don't think a 12.0 is reasonably achievable with a 1.8T. Remember you are dealing with a 3100 lb AWD car.

True, I think that I am just going to set up my TT for the track, I am pretty sure that I will have better luck there and can be pretty strong. Thanks for the info

Anything is possible with enough money and know-how. The less know how the more money, and vice versa.

My goal for my 180 is 325-350bhp, which is by no means unattainable. If I have to open the block (pistons, rods, head gasket or anything like that) I'm moving that number up closer to 400.

I think I should mention that 20% power loss figure is pretty conservative foir an AWD car. I'm sure thats conditional to a brand new cluch, perfectly maintained drivetrain, and brand new motor mounts you would probably still be lucky to only lose 20%. I think 24%+ is a better guideline.

No way are you going to hit 300 whp without a big turbo upgrade. Remember your 225 is flywheel hp not at the wheels. There is about a 20% loss through the AWD system down to the wheels.
Not true the guy with the 225TT alms on Dubaudi.com is making 300awhp on stock ko4 turbo......

300 at thewheels is do-able. With all the basic bolt ons and tuning will get you close and with water/meth injection you should be able to get 300.
this was done on a ko3s

here is his tuning guide of everything he did
