Default 3/16 T Splitter with 1/8 NPT

Does anyone know if this is a common part? Can I get it at an Autozone, Napa, or Pep Boys? I see it on TT Stuff but after what I'm dealing withI think I rather deal locally on that and some hose clamps.

Probably not there, but McMaster-Carr sells a lot of barbed tee / NPT fittings. I can't give you a direct link, but scroll down the page to see your options.

Agreed. McMaster-Carr is a great place for all kinds of odds and ends. You can also try your local speciality hardware store as well. There is one call McGuckins here in Boulder, CO that has fittings like that always in stock. And to directly answer your question, yes they are a fairly common item and the local autopart stores might actually have some. Give them a call on the phone and see.

i spent the day @ the hardware store trying to find / piece one together and had no luck. :\

does it make a difference if it's the plastic kind vs. brass?

If you buy either the Autometer or Greddy Gauge it comes with the T-connector. The autometers is plastic but good enough and the Greddy's is brass. I find it hilarious that the AWE boost gauge that cost 4x the price of the Autometer and twice the price of the Greddy does not come with one. LOL. I got a Greddy gauge and had to do no additonal shopping.
