Yea, I really am not talking from any experience. Im still trying to figure a lot of this out logically. I just figured that since a turbo car was not running full HP prior to the turbo kicking in... that the first 1/8 would be slower. I am apparently mistaken. Sorry for the misleading advice.

your always going to run the first 1/8th slower than the second in a 1/4 race. The first 1/2 you are from a stop and the 2nd your moving. Lag doesnt really play to much of a factor in a drag race, its more of a street incovience.

Well I meant in addition to the given that you would be moving slower from a stop. I mean an n/a car seems like it would gain speed from a stop much faster since it is running at full HP from the get go. I realized that all cars would run a slower first half... my mistake was thinking that the turbo car's first half would be relatively even slower than the n/a. once again, my apologies

No apologizing needed ... But The Low torque curve is the reason why ive always had forced induction motors whether they be Blower, centrafugel super charger or turbo.1/4 Mile e/t is ALLLLLL about 60 ft'sTorque and Traction get you low 60 ft's if .....Case in point... We had a 78 Malibu we were rebuilding top bracket race kept the origional 350 s/b in it and ripped everything out of it and worked on tracion. 1st Pass it ran 14.70 @ 92 mph with 1.98 60 ft After adjusting the lower control bars putting MUCH bigger slicks on it and a 4000 stall with the SAME motor ran 13.20 @ 99 mph 1.69 60 ft..... 150 shot 12.31 @ 109 mph 1.65 60 ft on a STOCK MOTOR with maybe 300 hp at best.

go race a b series honda running mid-high 14's vs a stock 225. both will run about the same 1/4 but the 225 will kill the honda off the line with the low end torque and the honda will catch up about the 1000ft mark.

then, basically my time is average compare to other stock225 TT, but when you guys talk about a stock 225TT that's even chipped? and what mod's would you suggest me to improve my time?

full exhaust will always help a turbo car. But a free "mod" would be tire pressure and driving skills. Practice and adjusting tire pressure will make a big differnce in times.

60ft ...practice Launching....theres your extra 5 tenths... For a stock 225 you should be in the 9.5 range.... I would be willing to bet your 60 ft times were from 2.1-2.4 range..take at look at your slip and let me know what it is

Driving skills they are free and can shave off alot of time when it comes down to the race, for as much s*** that all everyone talks I have stayed with a 08 EVO just because the guy couldnt drive. Then he complains that he is loosing boost. Good luck.

You know... for all the modifications I've done to my car... I still have not touched the exhaust except when I pulled it to put in the rear sway.I mean I'm in the process of trying some kind of cut-out. But I really don't care how the car "sounds", so I'm not really so worried about getting the expensive exhaust until I'm satisfied with the rest. I'm probably naive in doing this... correct me if I'm wrong.
