225 front & 255 rear?

225 front & 255 rear?
can I run 255 tires in the back and 225 in the front? Or will it fuch anything up? I have 2 dunlops in good shape that I would like to get more use out of. They came off of my girls is250.

the rears cant be taller than the fronts or the other way around.
i dont know what the 255 and 225 means as far as tire size... if that is width or something like that then it is fine. But if thats how tall the tire is then you shouldnt

anyone else want to sound off on this? doesn't sound right to me. i would imagine in a car that does most of its power distribution and turns with the front wheels, that wider front tires would only make it harder to steer. if im wrong, my apologies.

3 digits = width or tire, the following 2 digits i.e. 30,35,40 = height, the other 2 digits = rim/tire size i.e. 16,17,18,19.

same size tires all around would be ideal but haldex themselves said that there is a low percentage compensation (7-10%?) to compensate for staggered, fatter tires in the rear to make sure our pretty little quattro system doesnt get fuct up.

Excuse my poor mspaint skills. But imagine the tire on the left is 16x6 & the right is 16x10. Wider surface area equals more friction between the road & tires equals better grip.

^ yah, your drawing really sucks. Both left n right looks to be the same size to me =)
