2008 Audi TT
I'm waiting to see the new appearance of the TT before I decide on whether I should get an A4 or a TT. Anyone knows anything about the new TT? When will it arrive the market in the US? Is there gonna be a big increase in price? What do you all think about the new appearnance? A worthy buy? I am looking to see some pictures of the new model as well.
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: 2008 Audi TT
More questions....I am really attracted by the appearance of this car but a friend of mine who bought this car before had to get rid of it after a yr because the car's super impractical. Rear seats are almost not usable etc. I know that if I am gonna get this car I have to sacrifice something. However I don't want to make a wrong decision and have to sell my car and get a bigger one after a year or so. What's your thought on this car for those that who already owned one? Pros and Cons? Any input will be greatly appreciated! Thank You!

RE: 2008 Audi TT
-This is speaking on the Mk1 TT, obviously I don't have a Mk2 and can't speak from experience with them-
Consider it a 2 person car. Someone else on the forum here posted something about how its really there for insurance reasons only. If it were designed at just a 2 seater, it would cost you more. (and on that topic) Insurance for the TT was suprisingly cheap for me, much less than I expected to pay.
If you fold down the rear seats, theres a decent amount of room there, considering its really a sports car, what do you plan on packing in it? Its good for some groceries, but I wouldn't be packing a lawn mower back there to take to a repair shop or something... Seats up position, the Mk2 has less storage, but with seats folded, more, 24.7cu ft, which is pretty good for a little coupe I think.
Thoughts on the Mk2? Personally, I like the Mk1 better. The Mk2 looks a bit like a Mazda from the front. Eww. I'd rather spend a little money customizing it and make it really stand out then buy a new TT, also, I can only hope that someday, its worth something, since it was the original design. I DO like the retractable spoiler though, thats just sweet, but I wish it came out sooner. Porsche has been doing it for a couple years, why's Audi so far behind?
According to edmonds, expect it in the US in the spring of 07, and yeah, it'll be a little more expensive. roadster comes out a couple months after the coupe. I haven't been following it that much since I don't like it all that much.
Hope this helps.

RE: 2008 Audi TT
Thanks for your input. It definitely helps. You are right. I do think the new TT front kinda resembles a mazda but comparing with the current model, I think the new model looks way more aggressive. It is also a little bigger too as far as I know. I guess one of my concerns is whether I can fit people at the back (I'm considering the coupe). I have always liked Audi but I also prefer a 2-dr car but not an A4 convertible though. I'm told that there will be an A4 coupe soon in the future but that probably won't come out until a year after the new TT arrives. I am not sure if I want to wait that long to get rid of my current car. I have always wanted a TT so before I go and purchase one, I really want to hear about what people say about this car before I actually get one. I hope that the new TT will come in white color too. They haven't made it in white for a few years already.

Cool link! Anyone knows the pricing on the new TT? I am told that the base model is going for around 40K US dollars (after currency change) in UK. Cars are generally more pricey in the UK market though. Does anyone know anything about the new price tag?
