2004 audi tt coupe windows roll down
Hello:
Hope you might be able to help with this issue.
My son went over rail road tracks too fast and noticed ( no damage to car) that the windows on both sides rolled down one inch and would not go back up (seems like anti-pinch is activated). The audi dealer told us to replace both door latch mechanisms. Done, but the windows still go down one inch at random times while driving. We can't roll the windows back up unless you unbuckle the seat belt. We can also stop the car and put the key in the door lock, turn it all the way and hold 2 seconds, which resets the windows until the next time the windows randomly roll down one inch.
We have tried to reset the anti-pinch issue by holding the window switch all the way down then all the way up plus 10 seconds with no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks

audi tt coupe- windows roll down problem
The car is a 2004 TT coupe. Windows roll down an inch on each window at random times while driving. I have replaced both door latch sensors and tightened the door latches. The doors are closing tight but it appears the doors don't sense that they are closed because they roll down the same as when you open the door. Once this happens you cant roll them up without stopping the car and placing the key in the door lock and resetting the windows by turning and holding the key all the way for a couple of seconds.

Gotcha. Only reason I ask is because my first Roadster had a leak in the convertible top which then affected the control module and making my windows do strange things. Sounds like you're on the right track though.
