2004 Audi TT 3.2l S-Line
Hey All,
I have a 2004 Audi TT 3.2l roadster that has a stretched timing chain. The car is in great shape both interior and exterior. My local import shop wants about $4,000 to replace it. Since the car isn't my daily driver, and I really love it, I'm thinking about taking the project on myself. The question I have is this, does the Bentley shop manual for this car do an adequate job of describing the timing chain replacement along with the tensioners? I figure as long as I'm doing the work I'll replace both the upper and lower chains.
Should I plan for an engine out replacement?
Has anyone here done this job? Any advice for a first-timer?
I appreciate any help!
