Default 2001 TT 225 Bad Instrument Cluster?

Well, I just bought a 2001 TT 225 and while driving it home the blinker started to act weird. It would blink a few times then stop. Soon after that the gauges all started to jump and flicker. Then the whole thing went black, but along with the gauges my cruise control stopped working too. I can pull fuses 11 and 15 and it works for a little bit. Is this all in the cluster or are the cruise and blinkers something else?

I already sent it into BBA-Remanufacturing to have it repaired.

Well I'm not exactly sure what is going on...but I do know the cruise, wipers, gauges are all separate modules...so they might all be going bad at the same time, sort of like a domino effect. The only instrument cluster I ever had in my A6 2.7Q was my LCD display started burning out BAAAD. So I just replaced the cluster and problem fixed. Never had any of your problems. Really wish I could help you though bud :-\

Take the car back to where ever you bought it from. It has some major issues.

To fix the blinkers, replace the hazard relay. It's less then $200.

To fix the cluster, you are going to need to bring it to the dealership. They need to replace and reprogram it. Its about $900.

The cruse control could be anything. I would guess you have some problems with the abs or something like that.

I would scan the car for codes to see what else is wrong with it.

Unfortunately it was Ebay and it worked for the first 400 miles or so, then failed all at once. I sent the dash to BBA-Reman to be refurbished for $270, the seller paid for this already. We'll see when I get that back if it was bringing other things down.

I got the remaf instrument cluster back today and everything is working again. I'm very happy, but I hope it stays working. I guess the dash can really pull down other circuits. They have a 2 year warranty I believe.

Very nice! Do you have a link to their website? (bba reman). I could find it, but I'm busy [read: lazy]
