Default 2 Questions for you guys

So first question is fairly generic. Tirerack wasnt much help nor some of the PDF's and im too lazy to call my audi dealer of doom.
New tires and rims will be here tomorrow..well Today AM hehe - What's the recommended LBS to torque the lugnuts down to on this car? I was hearing the 85-100 range - Obviously I don't want to over tighten since im sure the OEM 17" Six spokes Have been over tightened. My rotors look a tad warped...Im sure ill see a few lugnuts on Well over 150lbs due to some jackass using an Impact Wrench to put them on. Hooray!
Hopefully take offs will be alot smoother going from 28lbs rims to 17lbs rims and im trying Goodyears new All-Season ResponseEdge tires.

2nd question.
I got the AWE Boost gauge installed and baileys diverter valve put in. First off two High Quality, very bad *** purchases I must say. Install for the Vent gauge however was not fun one bit. Cold start reads ~15inHG. Once warm reads ~20inHG Vac and Pedal mashed ~10-11psi. I have that PDF some one posted about the OEM Specs of a 180tt quattro with the K03 turbo I beleive and it says Max Turbo Boost of 1.8Bar. I admit defeat in not knowing wtf that means. So ~10-11psi boost range Is an accurate range for a 180tt w/ Borla exhaust/C.A.I yes?

Thanks for the help =)

1 Bar = 14.7 psi
1.8 Bar = 26.5 psi

I wouldn't advise 26.5 psi though. I doubt it'd really hurt much if you did it in small increments... but you wont be getting much more gain than if you just ran 23-24 psi. plus 23 wont hurt anything.

as for the torque... I just hook up the included tire iron... tighten by hand until snug... then place the tire iron at a 90 degree angle and jump up and down on it. lmfao. just kidding. Please dont do that. I dont know the torque but figured I would at least try to shed some humor on that question

WW/AUDI add in 1bar of normal atmoshperic pressure that already exist. So you have to remove 1bar in those numbers. Should be .9bar = 11psi. ALso your vacuum is spot on so your in good shape.

As for the wheels, you need to just make them tight as you can with your hands. If you go to a shop and they air gun them they over torque it to save their *** and if you get a flat, your stuck cause you cant get the wheel off. Also if you use new bolts you need to retorque them after about 100mi and then again after maybe another 100mi. THEY WILL COME LOOSE

woot glad to hear my turbo is A-OK then =D
And as for Rim/Tire package yea it's new everything. And I stole my friends really nice torque wrench (the $100 w/ the twisting bottom to dial in the proper amount of lbs) ill just do ~95lbs or for and check them every couple of days =P

20-23 is about all thats worth running. It does take a better cooling to make it usable (intercooler/watermeth). It can do more, but again, your far past the effiency range and get barely anything if not nothing per psi.

Well - tires and rims went on about an hour ago. Vast improvement in brakeing distance, accel, turning and handling. Im liking these Goodyears already and i've only put 50 miles on them hehe. Ill get pics eventually when it decides to stop raining here. I did however get a tad Too cocky on a 90ยบ Turn and got flipped off...apparently un-announced games of chicken is frowned upon...[sm=badidea.gif]

Other then then - It's amazing how much dropping 40lbs all together in rotating mass can make.

Oh - and As for the guys at shops that use impact wrenchs...I figured out why my Passenger Front Rotor is messed up.

Ready for this?

~220lbs of torque on 3/5 bolts. I used some pipe from my camaro about 4' long w/ a 2' breaker bar to get those out. Amazingly the thred on the hub was OK - the bolts however - Not good one bit.
