Default 19inch Alloys

HI guys new to the forum not had TT long. Looking to get some after market alloys, have 5 spoke 17s atm...

Would love some 19s cos of the look but worried about the ride quality. Anyone got 19s can tell me how firm it is? Should I be safe and go for 18s??

The less sidewall of the tire the harsher the ride and greater risk of bending the wheel on larger wheels. So since you need to keep the total height as close to stock as possible (speedo) leaves you a pretty small sidewall for 19's. If you want more your going to need 18's as a compermise.

I run 18's, its bumpy, but I can tolerate it. Of course, I could tolerate driving a suspension-less gocart on the road if the laws allowed. I could probably deal with 19's, actually, I'd like to, but tires get expensive, the selection limited, and theres still those NY frost heaves and potholes to deal with.

Well you might as well get 20s because 19s were 400 bucks more than the 20s. Odd ball size cost more.

I have no rub no bottom out nothing.
225/35/20 fronts 235/35/20 rears

The ride for me got better. I would say you feel the diffrence the most on big bumps. My guess would be about 20% more vs the 17s. Totally worth it for the look. I take corners fine and It rides perfect at 120 mph.

I have H&R lowering springs and that hurt my ride more than anything. Threw my alignment off bigtime and I was chewing up tires like crazy. Once I went to 20s it stood right up and I have no ware problems anymore. Strange I know, but hey if it were me I'd do it all over again!

Go 20s and worry about ride problems if you want to change springscuz it can get pretty stiff and rough. Corners great though!
