19 in tire width/sidewall question
Hey guys. I'm looking at some 19 in wheels for my car. I'm wondering if anybody has a 19 in wheel with a 225, 235, or 245/40/19 tire on stock suspension, and if they have rubbing issues or anything of the sort.I hate the way 225/35/19tires look... IMO, a 225/18/40 looks better than that.
I'll probably be adding spacers to push the wheels out as close to flush as possible with the fenders.

RE: 19 in tire width/sidewall question
If you use spacers use the billet hub centric ones; I just went through two other types and had considerable vibration over sixty; I was able to find some on ebay for about 20dollars apiece. I am using 10mm types. I need to pull the wheels because I am getting a "thud" sound from something at slow speeds or when I am turning the car. When I apply the brake the sound subsides.

personally id say if you are going 245s all arround you need to have at least 8mm spacers in the front and you cant have the aspec ratio (middle number ie. 245/35/19) any larger then 35, and if you are going 245 you may want to think about goin to a 30 a.r. just go to a tire place and ask them the height of the entire assembly wheel and tire and get it as close as you can to stock and youll be fine.

so an aspec ratio of 40 on a 245/40/19 won't fit... what about on a 225/40/19? That would be a different size AR, correct? Is the AR dependant on the tire width?

RE: 19 in tire width/sidewall question
Well, the Tire Rack has specs on 245/35/19 tires, and they are extremely close to the overall diameter of my stock 225/40/18s. On a 8.5 in Axis Penta, a 245/35/19 with spacers of 10mm up front and 15mm in the back should work out nicely. It seriously took me two months and several threads to get pointed in the right direction to get this info
