^ they are. well, somewhat. v-maxx coilovers are a steal compared to how much other coilovers are going for on the jdm side.

as for the exhaust, PLEASE link me to a quattro exhaust that is cheaper than a FWD one. FYI, i'd go custom and throw on an HKS carbon ti....

I second clipse's hks carbon ti idea! It really does sound great and I am definitely glad I went with it. Also the fwd is not that bad to mod... I know from experience, and there are a plethora of parts you could buy. But I will say that if you have any intentions of going BT later down the road then don't waste money on the k03s, plan you mods so they will be compatible when you go BT

Yes the DP was nice and cheap from ebay, but thats it!

I am more just mad at myself for not waiting and buying on impulse i guess!
vmaxx's - $530 shipped
ebay downpipe - $100-125shipped
most catbacks are ~$600
wilwood brake kit $800
turbo kits are easy to come by (pagparts, cts, atp, full race, forcedfed)
mkiv intercoolers fit, but cant install the side grills
there is so much more.

Greddy G2S system is 615 for the fwd.

the ONLY!!! system cheaper than that for the quattro is the one i have for 400 shipped. The rest of the exhausts are 600-1300

the fact that a dp only costs 100 for ur car should make you happy. My full exhaust cost me 1,000. A full exhaust for you can be had for under 800.

then suspension, clutch, and everything else is also cheap.

the 180 can also use the ebay fmic kits which imo are nice. assuming the one you purchase comes with a bar and plate core and not a tube and fin... *cough* cincy *cough*

muffler delete is cheapest yet. Fvck paying money for a cat back... what a waste.

Turbo car with 2.25 exhaust (even with no muffler) is just stupid.

Don't feel so bad man...I was in the same position you're in. I didn't do any research either and took the guys word for it. On the advertisement and bill of sale it said "quattro". I didn't know much about the TTs, only that I really wanted one. I paid cash for mine so I just said screw it and kept it. The FWD is not a bad car to have although I'm sure quattro is nicer to have. If you want to cheaply mod your car, you pretty much have to piece stuff together and keep an eye on ebay deals.

If you need any help finding something PM me cause I have found some great deals for our cars. I have an Injen CAI, Forge Turbo Recirculation Valve, etc..It's not cheap cause it's an Audi, but other than that I have found the cheapest of the good stuff.
