Default 180FWD.. bad choice

So i was looking for a exhaust yesterday and you cant get a turbo back exhaust for the fwd unless you pay an ungodly amount of money, and it looks stupid!

I looked for other things to spend money on and realized that the FWD is **** for mods.

I am totally disheartened about the car now, and looked up how much i owe... and how much i could fetch for this machine, both were bad answers.

Oh well, I'm stuck now. Should have done more ******* research before buying this thing i guess!

My mod list is this now...

1. Suspension and sway bars
2. Nothing cos this POS can't be modded anymore unless you spend thousands of dollars on stupid ****.

I'm done.

WTF?

Dude a 3" downpipe for your car is like $100. For a quattro, it's what, $600 now?

A catback exhaust is like $600 for a techtonics system...which is no more than a quattro.

Suspension, you didn't have to drop $300-$500 into rear camber correction.

Oh, and you can buy ANY engine part from a Mk4 VW and put it on your car.

Oh, and your 02J clutch parts are vastly cheaper than 02M parts.

The FWD is considerably cheaper/simpler to mod than a Quattro, I don't know where your logic comes from.

Wait so you think its cheaper to mod a 225? You can get a 180 DP on ebay for 100something. Or you can get a 42dd DP for your 225 for a mere 600ish. The borla cat back 180 system is $200 less than the 225. Yes there are more options, blueflame and whatnot that are less than the borla but I dont see how you would be saving money by modding a 225.

Im making my 3" catback this weekend, plan to make more to sell. Add that to a $100 ebay dp and you can have a nice full 3" turboback for under $600. I will be using 2 large magnaflow mufflers to keep it as tame as possible.

as for modding, you have the fwd confused with the 180q. You can find anything for the fwd since most is interchangable with the mkiv vw

I dont know where you guys are finding these amazing offers, but i searched and searched and searched for an exhaust and all the quattro ones were MUCH cheaper!

Yes the DP was nice and cheap from ebay, but thats it!

I am more just mad at myself for not waiting and buying on impulse i guess!

The appearance of dual tips and being unable to buy a pre-fab dual exhaust system are turning you off to modding a 180 FWD? You're right: you need more research.
