guys running 10s on the rear put up with stretch and poke. which is ok for a cheap dub/hon/toy/etc, but not so muc for the TT. but some folks love the look.
there's an offset calculator on line somewhere (sorry, don't have link) that will tell you how much poke you'll have with those offsets. maybe someone else will have the link.

bottom line: your car, your money.

FWIW, i have 9s on rear with 265/35s. no stretch, no poke.

cheers

Staggered is not a problem (with the haldex) as long as you keep the rolling radius the same or nearly the same (within 1-3 % or so). My 235/40s and 265/35s are less than 1% different.

cheers

Thanks,

Lots of pics in the other albums, but here's one. 9s are tough to fit on the front. problems hitting the struts, turning, etc...again, poke/streatch/rub issues.

cheers

Sorry. I wasn't familiar with Fotki before and didn't notice there were other albums there. Btw, is that your install of the gated shifter too? That V2 smooth version looks pretty sweet. Did you make that or is that commercially available? My only concern is if the gates match up to where the stick needs to be for shifts AND is it possible to tweak it so that the hard end channel of each slot IS the right position for each shift? Make sense?

Link for shift gate here;

http://www.ttspares.com/store/

It's made of aluminum, so if you need to take more material out to widen the gates or improve the shift feel, a light hand with a hand-file could do that. But as you'll note the prongs between each gate are small, so not much could be removed without weakening the prongs.

I'm not sure if I understand your second question, but take a look at my V1 album. there are pics in it that show the position of the shifter when in each gate.

FWIW, if interested, my V1 is for sale.

cheers.
