Last week as I was making my regular commute in my '01 TT over the Golden Gate bridge when I was swarmed by three brand new '08 TT's. Two coupes, black and silver,and a red roadster. All had Michigan plates. At the time it seemed a little strange,three brand new TT'sdriving togetherin SF with Michigan plates. But I was more interested in checking out the new car and doing some road rallying than thinking too hard about it.

Then last night I'm driving out towards Golden Gate park when what I believe is the same red '08 roadster with Michigan plates rips by me!

Thoughts?

 

PR, you see one and thats no biggy, you may not even notice it. But 3, you dont miss that. Im sure that they are paid drivers covering busy metropolitian areas where they believe sales are most prominate. This is a cheap and yet a highly effective way of getting noticed. Only better way to get attention would be to have a celeb wreck one like griffin and the enzo.

 

I just saw another one heading north on the 101 in Marin county this week. Same michigan plates again...
