08 3.2 S-tronic opinions
My first post here, so please don't kill me
My 2009 Nissan 370z lost a battle against a Toyota 4Runner recently, so depending on how the damage assessment goes, I may be in the market for a new (used) car.
I had my eye on a 2008 TT coupe 3.2 with S-tronic that has low miles (19k) and looks to be in pristine condition (clean carfax at least). I had the opportunity to sit in the car and I really like it- the visibility alone is leaps beyond what I could have seen in the Z. The car is fully loaded (bose, nav, rear parking kit, 18” tires, etc), which is a nice upgrade to the bare bones kit I had in my Z.
I was wondering what the owners of the similar model thought of it? I know coming to a TT forum, the opinions might be a little biased, but that’s fine. I’m concerned with the relative reliability of the TT, were there any recalls/common faults with this model I should be concerned about (or at least get replaced right away if I buy it)? I understand that the TT isn’t as quick as the Z, but I’m willing to sacrifice that for a bit more refinement, the road trips I took in the Z weren’t the most comfortable to say the least.
Thanks in advance for all your feedback. Hopefully in a week or so I may be a TT owner!

You won't be dissapointed!
Hey Antman,
Welcome to the forum...not a whole lot goes on in here but there are many sites for us TT owners and if you buy the 3.2 I'm sure I'll see u on all of them like myself. I too had a Z not the 370 but a 2005 350Zr and I loved the car but it was not really a daily driver specially in the winter. So I purchased the TT and believe me you'll love it more than the Z it is by far a more sound vehicle. The only issues I've had to have taken care of and they were all recalls that would have been covered even if I did not have my warranty was.....gas filler neck replacement....roadster top drain canals replaced......DSG mechatronic unit replaced. The last one I didn't even need but they replaced it anyway. Other than that I love my car and have from the first test drive.....Good luck and hope to see you back w/the TT

Got a 2005 3.2 with DSG. No issues at all. I love the sound of the motor and the responsiveness of the DSG. I have kept mine well maintained and added coilovers recently. Looks great dropped an inch or so and handles much better. Got a remap as well not really worth $400 but I paid $200 so it was ok.
You should go to this website: http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/forum/
There are loads of V6ers in the UK. Lots of good info.
You are right in that the TT may not be as fast or agile as the Z but the build quality on these cars is just amazing. Much better than any Japanese.
Good Luck
