04 TT shift **** and boost gauge question
Hi Everyone,
Do you guys know if anyone makes an aftermarket Shift **** for the TT made after 2002?
It seems 2002 was the last time the used a threaded shift ****. How the heck are the on there
now?
Also are there any in Vent Gauges for the TT besides the expensive AWE gauges?
Any info would be appreciated.

RE: 04 TT shift **** and boost gauge question
I have sparco **** on my car. It uses its ownpeice thatclamps on to the stock shifter. It actually lowered it just over an inch.
You can just get a 52mm (2 1/16)guage and use the bracket to hold it in the vent or spend $20 for a modshack ring or make your own for pennies. Or just throw in a 60mm (2 5/8)gauge and consume the entire vent.

honestly the TT doesnt need a short throw at all....and most euro tuners like ecodetuning.com says not to use them on the TTs tranny...they have like 15 years experience in the Vdub market so....

I am sure Audi did a fine job designing the TT and it really doesn't "need" anything.
So why install a FMIC or an aftermarket DV or anything at all? Simply to make things better
not because it really needed it. Same with short shifters. The Audi TT has one of the longest
throws of any manual transmission car I have ever driven. Heck, my Civic Si has a shorter
throw than the TT. I had a 2001 TT and the Dieselgeek short shift linkage kit made a HUGE
difference. Not only a noticable shorter throw but more precise shifts and an overall better
shift feel. It's most definitely a mod I am going to do on my 04 TT. Best overall mod besides
the Revo Tune which I also didn't really need
