RE: '00 TT vs '00 TT Quattro
It really depends on the condition of the vehicles.
FWDcar may need timing belt done right away (~$1000+ job unless you get lucky and find a shop that can do it cheap). Has lower miles, and if never modded it may have alonger life span. Also check with Audi to see that it has been regularly maintained over its’ life (They usually keep these records up to 60k miles or during the warranty period.)
AWD is nice, I prefer the Haldex unit over the FWD only models. Make sure this car also has had the timing belt down. Audi recommends 100K so many times people don’t do it. It is a high failure item after 60K though and needs to be done then. The Revo software is good, but it puts more stress on the engine. For the $1,250 you save with the FWD one you could add most of the mods that this one has listed. However, I imagine that the AWD car also has a dual exhaust and maybe some other mods as well.
Honestly, from my view, it is a crap shoot, and they are nearly equal with the main difference being what is more important to you. It if was me and I had to choose one or the other sight unseen, I would go with the FWD, but then again if it was me I would not get either.

For the money... I'd think about spending a little bit more and getting a newer year with less miles. When I've purchased older cars I've had a lot of wear and tear items that had to be replaced before I could even think about mod'ing and most of the time they ended up blowing my budget.

Nice miles, but the price is too high.Windshield, tires, and brakes being new are also a nice bonus. People often overlook them. I personally would rather have an AWD.

Bad Price in my oppinion. I paid ~10k for my 2001TT with dual exhaust / and 79k miles. Those "minor" scratches on the wheels are not minor. You will notice them and spend ~75 bucks per wheel getting them fixed. The REVO also might indicate the previous owner really "drove" the car. Not a bad thing as long he/she also maintained it.
Either car should have a TB job. This one might have it done already, if the previous owner mod'd it up like that. Its the stock TT's that typically have owners not using these forums to find out when they really need a new TB. See if you can get in touch with the previous owner, or if the dealer knows.
* I put a sticker on the TB cover, so the next owner knows when I did it. :-)

RE: '00 TT vs '00 TT Quattro
Right now it really is just between those two TTs. Actually, my 16th birthday is coming up here in 8 days (hooray!) and I've got about a 12-13k budget for a car, I've wanted a TT about as long as I can remember and those were the 2 best ones I could find. I think I've convinced my parents that i'm responsible enough to handle that turbo engine and I've talked to the guy and lookin at paying about 11.5 for the Quattro. So it looks like we're going with the quattro!

First off. - You kick ***. - I wish I had a TT when I was 16. - At that age I was still walking to school. (I grew up poor) - However that rocks for you! - I would on topic though go with the quattro. - I have a FWD and I love it. - But I would LOVE quattro

RE: '00 TT vs '00 TT Quattro
I just talked to the guy and he said he had the timing belt and the water pump replaced at 65k miles so those are both fairly new. The tires are all in good condition so they won't need to be replaced for a while. Actually my dad was going to buy me an Acura Integra for 10 grand and I found these TTs for about the same price, he said he's cool with me getting the TT as long as I pay the difference. So I'll pay like 1.5-2 grand but its definitely worth it for the TT

Well there ya have it, a few pictures of the car, if you look close you can see the wheel damage on the back right wheel. I'm really into that color on the TT, seems like a color you see alot on WRXs but i think it looks pretty good on the TT.

Nice, a demin blue. Just as a heads up there is a TT club here in Colorado that meets every month and sometimes comes down to the Denver area (usually meet up near Aspen or Morrison). I will IM you the details later. Hope the car works out well for you and that you enjoy it.
