No, the bottom mount is larger than the side mount ballast.

You either use a heatgun/hairdryer or bake the headlight in an oven to soften the sealant around the edge...then you pop off the 6 or so clips that hold the lens on. Then work your way around with a flat head screwdriver or other prying device to get the lens off.

Trickiest part IMO is getting the front end realigned perfectly when you're done.

Once you have them apart, how do you get them back together?

 

How big is the crack? If it's not that big use...................
