Default Rear door opens half way 2007 Audi Q&

Please help. Whether I use the remote to open the rear door or try to open it by the driver side it only opens half way.

Manually push the lid (door, hatch, etc) to the full open position. There are clutches in the motors that will give way. Hold it at the height you want, then push/hold the close button for at least 5 seconds. This should set the open position in the module. Similar to doing basic settings on the side windows for auto up/down operation. You can "learn" it to stop at any height you want this way.

I'm sure they misunderstood what your concern was, at least I hope so!
Don't mean for this to sound, well you know,,,,,,,,,and not directed at anyone personally but the owners manual is really good reading. Take it with you on the next visit to "the reading room"

In response to above .When we spoke to service department quote "the car has to be booked in for a service call". How can anyone misunderstand that?? Also do you understand the concept of a forum?? Maybe look up next time you visit the smallest room in the house and yes take it personally....

Smile Rear door not opening

Thanks for that brilliant advice. My Audi developed the same problem over the weekend and I was scared to push the door up against the resistance but did what you said and now the tailgate opens even higher than before and I won't bash my head any more on the lock that sticks out quite precariously!
