Default '09 Q7 "Service Due!" message

Hello all, I'm new to this site.
I have an '09 Q7 with 11,400 miles on it. For the last month or so, I started to get a pop up reminders "Service Due!" on the dash display. I had service done by the dealer at 5K miles last July, so I guess, they set the reminder to pop up in 1 year. That reminder pops up when I turn the car ON, stays lit for about a minute. Then comes on again, when the car is shut OFF and key still in ignition. Is there a way to have that popup turned OFF or reset without going to the dealer or using that VAG tool?
Any suggestions and recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks.

So it's been 6500 miles since your last oil change?

"For the last month or so" What are you waiting for???

I change my oil every 3-5k with synthetic.

The dash notification is your Q7 yelling at you to take care of it.

The notification works off of two variables ... time and miles. Not following the service schedule can also void your warranty.... and for good reason.
