Comfort door locks dropping back down?
I searched the Audi Q5 threads first for my answer, but most threads go off on a tangent (like I just did below haha)!
I asked the dealer to check into a new issue that came up past several weeks where you grab the door handle to unlock and before you have a chance to open the door the locks sometimes drop back down by themselves before even opening the door?
Hopefully by not even opening the door might rule out a broken wire harness that goes from the car to the door where I've read can be a common issue especially with a 5 year old vehicle.
So the dealer came back with the locking system shows a fault.
BUT for us to diagnose where the fault or bad module is we need to first charge you $155. If we discover the part that needs to be replaced and its covered on your premium plus warranty then you will pay $85 for the diagnosis plus any deductable.
My experience with these warranties they always seem to not cover most parts as they claim they are "wear items"!
So anyone here experienced my comfort door lock issue and if so how much was the repair?
