Timing Belt Loose after cranking engine w/ Cam sensors unplugged

While doing the valve covers gaskets and plugs, I disconnected the connectors shown below and cranked the engine to check the compression. I also think I disconnected the passenger side connectors by themselves first and cranked the engine. Then I disconnected both sides.
Now the timing belt is loose and the alignment pins are facing UP and DOWN, aren't they supposed to be Left to Right? Please tell me I didn't mess anything up. I am due for timing belt/water pump svc in 15k miles, but I will do it now if I have to.
