Default sirius radio

I just purchased an 2006 A8L and I want to install sirius radio. On the MMI, I see the satellite button that is greyed out. What will I need to make this option functional?

Thanks to all that help.

If it's greyed out, it's not installed or not functioning properly.

Behind the access panel in the left hand side of the trunk is where the SDARS lives.
If it's not there, you can add one pretty easily.

Do you know the model unit of the SDARS for the 2006 A8L?

Found the part #4E0910593D for my 2006 A8L. Looked on eBay and seen a-lot of them not exactly matching my part #. Does anyone know if there are any big difference between sirius sdar for other Audi models ?

The first 9 digits are the part # and anything after that is a revision.

e.g. The one you listed is 4E0 910 593, revision D.

A lot of electrical components are common between A6/A8/Q7.
According to AudiUSAparts.com that is a Q7 model Audi Parts - AudiUSAParts.com

That said, 4E is the chassis code for D3 A8 Audi A8/S8 (4E) - Ross-Tech Wiki

AC keeping up for you down there? Hotter than all get out in Charlotte !

Thanks for the info. My AC has been on for 5 days straight, I know my power bill is going to be outrageous. I called my AC guy yesterday to make sure this unit was doing everything it could do.

100 outside, thermostat reading 77,set at 74. This ssshhh__ sucks.

I'm still not having any luck finding this module outside of the dealer.

I know there is someone on here that has one in their trunk that they are not going to use!
