Purchased a 2015 Audi A8 L last December with cold weather package, driver assistance package, wheel and tire package, luxury package, and premium package. Previous car was a 2012 Buick Lacrosse. I understand the Buick is not in the same league as the Audi, but i think it has a quieter ride than the Audi. I don't know if its because of the bigger tires/wheels, all wheel drive, or just what. My Audi seems to have more noise from the front than what I was expecting. Anyone else seem to have more road/tire noise than they expected?

 

I think most road noise is generated by the tire and tread type. The stock Audi tires may be more aggressive than what GM puts on the Buicks. Continentals and Pirelli all-seasons have tread that works great with quattro in snow, but may be a little noisy.
