HELP! Noticing transmission slip at 3-4 shift
Oh no... over the past few weeks, I've been noticing a slight slip between the 3-4 shift under light/moderate acceleration on my 2005 A8.
It's barelynoticeble and just a little (ie. engine flare-up only the width of the tach needle) but there nonetheless.
Car has 50,100 miles andit started happening right after the warranty expired! - Arrrrgh!
Recommendations? Fluid change? (I believe it's original fluid), Vag-Com adjustment? Thing is, nothing has ever gone wrong with this car till now... I was sure I had a "good one".

Theres a tech bullitin to swap the fluid to a newer style for a chirping noise on the 3-4 shift. Not sure if the chirp could be related to the slippage. Only problem is the fluid is like 100 bucks a quart and the bullitin requires 12. You have to flush out the old fluid.
