Over the weekend I replaced my brakes, rotors and front upper control arms. I replaced brakes on all 4 corners and the passenger side control arm on Saturday. I drove the car with no problems at all. On Sunday I jack the car up again on the driver side and put it on jack stand to replace the driver side control arm. After completing the job, the orange light stays on? The car rides fine and i can still raise and lower the car with no issues at all. any ideas, i ve done a few searches already . THE CAR WAS IN JACK MODE BOTH TIMES

 

Jamm , you will need someone who has a Vag-Com or similar to go into the suspension & see what the fault is.

 

I know I will be goiing to friend's house after work to have it scanned. Jsut seeing if anyone had any similar probs

 

Is the compressor running all the time ?

What year A8 is it ?

 

ummm these cars have a "jack" mode? how the hell?

 

Yes it has jack mode n tow mode...jack mode turns of the system so that while its been jacked up the suspension doesn't get damage. I also found the problem after hooking up the VAG, I had wire that got disconnected over the shock tower while loosening it...car is all n good now n running like a cham
p....I think everyone who has a D3 should change the control especially for the price.

 

An 06 everything was operating fine but its all good now
