A8 into S8 look alike?
whats up guys, I just picked up a 98 A8, I love it by the way, I had a 99 Caddi Seville STS before that, and I was wondering what needs to be done to the outside of the A8 to make it look like the S8. I've seen pics of them before but I can't find them now. And how do I go about getting whatever it needs. I know I'm trying to make the A8 an S8-wanna-be, but I can't afford it and I love the way it looks, so I'll just go along with that right now. Thanks in advance, any input is appreciated, pics too.

RE: A8 into S8 look alike?
Hmm, that and the suspension needs to be lowered, not that anyone aside from an actual S8 owner would be able to tell....
I've considered S8 wheels for my 99 A8, but I dont think I'm gonna do it - my need for a smooth(er) ride exceeds my desire to have more grip and look cooler.
Are you planning to swap the badges too?

RE: A8 into S8 look alike?
Hey Konrad and Hans,
I have a 98' that has been lowered and has S-line badging on it as well as 19" 04' A8L wheels. It doesn't exactly resemble an S8, but gets close... and yes you Definitely can notice the difference in wheel gap between a stock A8 and an S8.
The major difference between the look of an S8 and and A8 of 98' is the lower body panels and front air dam. The 98' S8 has an Air Dam with Fog Lights and is color coated, much like the 2001 and up A8. They also have body-colored Side skirts and rear skirt.
I've been looking for some time for these at a reasonable price but have only heard of them costing $2000-$3000 for the unpainted kit! WAY Too much in my book.
You can actuallly install the S8 Sway bar and S8 suspension bits into your A8 if you have time and lots of money, but why.. you can buy an older S8 for only a couple of grand more than an A8!
