MY NEW A7 (and first AUDI ever)
Hello after one week of ownership of an A7 I want to share my thoughts.
The car is fast but coming from a Mercedes SL55 AMG, I really miss the power, the speed limiter in the US at 130 mph is a joke, so I am really looking forward for an ECU upgrade (how often I go faster than 130, not very often really but it is like having unsubscribed channels in my TV, you never know when a good show is going to be there so I just like to have them all, I just hate that "limited" feeling, I want to be the one who set my own limits, please refrain from giving lectures about speeding)
I have read there is a way to remove these speed governors physically in other older Audi models
https://www.audiforums.com/forum/s-c...er-free-73650/
I really do not know if this is possible in the A7
So regarding other issues:
Audi Connect, I have an AT&T phone and I was able to use my own SIM card (at 2G) and store the most used Google Maps into the memory so I will be able to use the NAV later with Google Maps and without sacrificing my phone when I am driving, so for me 30 dlls per month are not worth it.
Navigation, kind of a stupid question but do you know what the blue color in the NAV means?? I know red, yellow and green depends on traffic, but I have no idea about blue roads.
I have read about FULL LED headlights, another stupid question but how can you differentiate them, it looks to me I have FULL LED lights but I really do not know. The manual just says xenon headlamps, I know the daytime running lights are LEDS but what do you mean with FULL LED lights (my sticker reads PX2 LED headlights W/O range adjustment) W/O means without I suppose.
Problems:
Sometimes I feel the transmission kind of jerky when releasing gears, even in comfort setting.
Lumbar support cracks when I am driving, if you push it, it cracks really weird, happens in both seats. Anybody experiencing the same?
The voice recognition NEVER understands me, please tell me if it really improves after you do the training.
Bottomline the car looks and drives AMAZING, what a beautiful line, just missing the power of my former car, hopefully Stasis or APR will come with a solution for me.

Congrats!
The A7 is definitely not an SL55. Even with an ECU upgrade, you're not going to get that kind of power/weight ratio with the A7. That being said, I've found the A7 adequately powerful comparing to my previous supercharged Jag VDP, but will consider the GIAC or APR upgrade when available (more is better ).
I think the blue road is the mapped route? I'll have to pay more attention next time I use it.
The full LED headlights are a $1,500 option in the US. If you don't see it as a line item on the sticker, you have the xenons.
I find the transmission to be great most of the time, but I have noticed a delay/jerkiness occasionally when shifting from 1st to 2nd.
I haven't noticed any issue with the lumbar support. You might want the dealer to take a look at that.
One thing that I discovered with the voice recognition is that you have to wait for the beep. I was getting very frustrated, then realized I started talking before the voice activation was listening. It's still not perfect, but pretty good most of the time. It also seems to "learn", and works better over time.

I went for a ride yesterday and I am positive the blue line is not the mapped line, I have the 1,400 led headlights option in my sticker coded PX2 Led lights w/o range adjustment so I thought FULL led lights meant LED lights WITH range adjustment, in other forum I was told the LED lights do not adjust while driving while the xenons do, so I have the Full LED's, my question was how can you differentiate them?, I have read threads where people actually LIKE the look of them, for me they look exactly the same than my other car's Xenon lights.

Agreed, blue is the mapped route. No problems with lumbar support nor voice recognition - wait for the beep and just speak as you normally would. On the transmission, I more or less agree on the jerkiness, but it is a sporadic problem for me and not an every day occurence.
