A7 Problems

Nothing but problems on my A7
I bought a certified A7 in November 2013 and I have had it in the shop as much as I have had it out.
First day taillight out
Second Replaced fuel pump
Third Replaced stuck floats in gas tank
Fourth Replaced Bluetooth speaker
Fifth other side of the car tail light out
Sixth latch sensor on hatch goes out
Bring home last night and the memory seat now doesn't work.
The dealer Audi of Tulsa has been fantastic. It's like the movie groundhog day.
Is anyone else having these kind of problems. I thought it might have been because it was put in service early in the release.
I have had around 45 cars from Honda's to Porsche and never had this kind of trouble. I bought the car because when I researched it I could not find one thing that anyone could say bad about it.
I really think that the dealer is about to buy it back. The only problem there isn't another one our there with all equipment I have for sale anywhere.

Still no problems
Had my A7 from new now 2 years and 2 months with NO issues at all. Well not quite - the silly European legislated stop/start has stopped! Now when I stop the car the engine does not stop and require a restart. This is wonderful and even the Dealer asked how I managed it!
Had the car in for it's first full service and the Dealer updated the software as they do these days and the stop/start thing is still OFF - brilliant!
But no issues of any kind and the car is going perfectly and even quicker than before - if that's possible. Average MPG since new is reading 44.6 which is pretty good for a 3ltr Diesel and beats my older 3ltr Mercedes by about 8mpg.
Maybe the faults issues are USA based? I say this as there doesn't seem to be this level of problems here in the UK.

A7 issues
I am on this site because I just had a test drive and was underwhelmed. Steering was imho too light and lacked feel, and I noticed juddering under moderate braking. I thought it was the dual-clutch transmission changing down, but maybe it was the ABS.
I had never driven such a transmission before and expected it to be better. The main reason for looking at the A7 was the gearbox. We want a hatchback and the only such BMW is the 4 series gran coupe with an old-fashioned slushbox. Frankly the dual-clutch Audi did not seem much better.

MACCARI I am having the identical steering problems. Its absolutely annoying and unnerving. Lower speeds up 60-80mph its very noticeable. It seems higher speeds 85+, something seems to adjust and it tightens and eliminates the problem. Audi service told me they can't duplicate the problem and checked my software which was up to date.. Going back tomorrow to fix this. Any insights to your fix would be appreciated.

Picked up a used 2012 with 23K miles 10 days ago, drove from Minnesota to AZ speeds 65 - 95 on interstates and back country highways. Perhaps I am too old to notice faults with the steering but thought the steering was just fine at all speeds. It is speed sensitive at low speeds <30 or 40 mph there is little or no resistance, feels solid to me at highway speeds

Glad I didn't read this thread before getting my A7! I'm a new owner of a 2012 Prestige with 43,000 miles on it (45,000 now)....so far zero issues and it's been a great car. Smooth quiet ride, great power, comfortable seats, cool tech (innovation package), AWD and that fantastic storage space! Our whole family loves it. Not to mention its one of the most beautiful cars ever ever put out. We get compliments on it ALL the time.

Wait until A7 owners until you hit 55,000 miles
Extremely disappointed, just wait until your Audi A7 hit 55,000 miles. I can send you a scanned copy of the bill from our Hoffman Estates Audi dealer with a bill for $5,750 in repairs to our Audi A7 with 55,000 miles. Nothing covered under warranty, how about this one 1. The simple Thermostat right $150 dollars but $950 dollars in to install the thermostat. Yep thats $1,100 to install and purchase a new $150 thermostat.
Automatic headlight sensor, $950
Normal stuff like brakes and brake fluid $2,400
Exhaust straps to stop the rattling of the muffler, $400
New Battery, yep new battery at 55,000 miles $450
So my advice to a A7 owner, (save your vacation money for your 50,000 mile warranty checkup) that little trip you were planning with the family, your Audi dealer just took it from you.
