Audi A6 The mid-sized Audi A6 model offers more room to the driver and passengers over the A4 line.

What changed to give the 4.2L 50 more HP?

What about a little differnet route? I think 300hp is fine... It's the gears that are killing the car. With the speed limits in the US if we could gear these down a bit it would be huge. Has anyone looked into getting different gears in the transmision? I think this is the only way to wake-up the 4.2's????

^ That is one thing that bothers me about the 4.2... 1st gear runs to like 50 freakin MPH. Its too tall. I think my 2.8 can pull as hard in first as a 4.2 can, redlines at ~35. I wonder if there are any different final drive ratios/ rear end gears that could be changed...

It's kind of like my old Honda 599, that shifted out of 2nd at 80mph and it was geared down. No wonder it's the #1 sportsbike in Europe! They like long legs over there. We just need to shorten them up for our speed limits

Ya, my beemer is around 65 in 1st, prob with that is I usually shift out at ~30, so by 3rd gear, Im over the limit of any side roads... Makes for a quick 0-60 though!
