what can i do

Default what can i do

During when i was changing the timing belt i kinda snapped a line it looks like it might be a vacuum line. Should i completely replace the line or what should i do. The line is on the right side of the engine block. I have a 1998 audi a6 quattro.
I still havnt drove the car since the line snapped. I still have to put anti freeze and change transmission oil Please help thanks.

Find a piece of shrink wrap tubing (try Radio Shack), fit it over both ends and CAREFULLY apply heat.

Gotta love German recycled plastic....

That should be the vacuum line to the reservoir. You splice it using 5/32 ID vacuum hose, or replace the whole section with it.
