Default Upper Grille Mod

Finally after having the 3 lowers done for about 5 months I am getting onto the upper grille. Some may remember that I did all 3 lowers utilizing the stock grille inserts, cut out all the louvres and replaced with expanded aluminum. Well I finally have some spare time and I am almost finished the upper grill, for this one I pulled the OEM grille out, cut expanded aluminum to size, re-used the trim, re-used the Rings, re-used the quattro badge, currently everything is still shiny aluminum and chrome, I still need to sand and powdercoat the trim and grille material, a nice flat black. Keep the Rings and Quattro badge shiny. I will post step by step pics when I am all done

I will post a DIY when it is finished, I considered the sport mesh but I decided I wanted the top to match the bottom, The DIY on this is easier than the lowers

Here are the finished product pics, if there is enough interest I will post a DIY, this mod is simple and came out better than I could have hoped for. You may notice that the trim is resprayed with a mettalic gunmetal, I am in the process of respraying all the trim to match. Gives it the look of the titanium package.

P.S. Currently waiting for my replacement europlate
