Angry Trouble finding performance mods for 2002 A6 3.0!!!

Hello all,

I recently picked up an 2002 A6 3.0 (AVK). I am having trouble finding performance mods for anything but the 2.7. I may be looking in the wrong places. Any advice would be very helpful.

P.S.- At the moment I am interested in such things as performance modules (chip), intakes, cat-back exhaust, front and rear sway bars.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Fritz

Keep the car the way it is. There are really no significant mods for the car other than PES supercharger. Other this will give you maybe 5 hp, including performance module and not really worth the money if you ask me.

^^ i agree ... if you wanted to mod 2.7 was the way to go ... 3.0 are maint. ****** i hear ... i've seen remus sport label exhausts for the 3.0 when i was searching for mine but your almost better getting some magnaflows and bending ss tubing ... im going to replace my remus within the next month with magna flows ... you could make an intake yourself but a K&N drop in is just as good and then cut some holes in teh bottom of your airbox ...good luck

Sway bars make a HUGE improvement... just becuase you can't go as fast as others doesn't mean you should be robbed of a more complete and fun driving experience.

I did my whole suspension and don't regret it for a second. I'm not driving an "old man's car" anymore... (see mods in my sig)

Unitronic makes software for the 3.0... +15hp (doubt it's really more than +10)

I am running the GIAC 2.8 software and love the difference it made. Many will say "no don't do it, save your money" but most haven't had the pleasure of the experience.

Exhaust will have to be customized... no big deal, and very common for us
Also try a K&N Panel air filter to replace your paper air filter... every bit helps

I think that covers everything... don't let anyone discourage you

Where can you get sway bars at a reasonable cost?

best deal is the H-Sport kit for around $375, carried by many places online
I got mine on purems.com as well as my Koni 's and H&Rs

Talking Thank you!

Thanks to everyone for your quick and helpful responses. Looks like I'm gonna drop a little money into the suspension to stiffen her up and do a couple exterior mods to make her pretty. Guess I'll just hop on my bike when I feel the itch for some speed!

Thanks again,

Fritz
