im guessing he was using one of those vag coms because i asked him if he reset and he said "yea i cleared the codes" ..whatever that means. but this is the least of my problems because he gave me a list of what is wrong with the car lollo

The best $270 I've spent! Once i had all the software installed and the cable connected i ran the scan and came up with a few errors around the car and a whole pile for the trans(see below) Well, I re-set all the codes for the trans and re-scanned, no problems. Test drove with again no issues... What I think happened was that when I pulled the fuse for the trans control(and all gear selector switches and locks) the computer saw all these things failing and immediately switched the trans into safe or "limp" mode. Summary: Problem solved, GET A VAG COM! haha...

^^^ Well the intermittent codes are good, but the brake light switch in your car is toast, and that can also cause transmission issues....like limp mode so you need to change that.
The A/C fault is intermittent as well, so ignore it.
