Dankhound: thats good to know, I personally have never gotten my A6 stuck. I guess I had always assumed we had a locking rear diff. I knew the torsen diff locked though.
I have always loved the ski jump video and the Audi vs. all others awd one. Reminds me of when my partner raced a Hummer H3 up a snowboard hill after work one day with my A6. The A6 made it just as far as the H3 did, but they both got stuck. The A6 had no available ground clearence left and the H3 just couldn't go any further since its wheels were spinning. Made me realize how good the A6 is in the snow. I have a 2000 with no traction control.

Burzum hit the nail on the head.. really, tires make or break any car in the snow.. or rain.. or just in general.. you can have all wheel drive but still get stuck, slide, or worse with bad tires.. So I guess what im getting at, is drive safe.. and you shouldnt have many problems!
