well i recently took mine off to replace the oil filter and just havnt botherd putting it back yet, i guess it will kinda protect the 2 hydrolic pipes which run rather low from hooking on sumthin and if the car does happen to leak a drop or10 of oil then it falls in the cover and not on ur driveway. and the less air coming in ur engine bay the less wind resistance and noise........so i guess ill b putting mine back tonight.

OK, thanks guys! Wonderful discussion. I will put one on soon. But honestly, I didn't feel any difference for my ~130 miles @ ~70 mph so far.

What kind of cable ties? And how long do they last? I mean I know what they are and such, but are you not worried about them breaking?
