replacing the bose amp with an aftermarket...?
Ok here is the deal, I could careless for the bose amp.
I don't feel like running a powercable across my car, its annoying to do and its very easy to break stuff when pulling and stuff..
So here is my question, couldn't I just replace the bose amp with the new one using its power source?
Can I just splice the powersource and use it for both amps?
I'm assuming it wont be enough power, just wanted to make sure before I installed my system tomorrow.
Also are all the speakers dependent on the amp or just the 2 little subs..?

RE: replacing the bose amp with an aftermarket...?
The oem wire is way to small to run an aftermarket amp. All the component speakers run off the amp. You should replace the speakers if you are changing the amp. The frequency will not be right for the bose speakers. They will not last long with a normal frequency.
