Can anyone explain to how to remove the tail light assemblies on my 2007 A6? I found two screws that, when removed, loosen each assembly. But for the life of me I can not get any further than that. Something is holding the assembly to the body on the side opposite the screw(s). If I around to the inside of the trunk / assembly area, I can feel two bolts or something with a plastic like cover. They appear to be at about the place where the assembly seems stuck, but I can't see them or get at them with a pliers or anything. Hope somebody knows how to do this 'cuz I have no desire to pay my dealer an inflated labor rate and parts charge for something that should be simple. Thanks. P.S. I've googled this topic and seen some pictures, but they don't appear to be for an '07 A6 because they look nothing like what I'm seeing...
