RE: RADIO CODE - DISCONNECTING BATTERY
I just got my A6 two months ago, and the previous owner took the card. I had to run the car to the dealer (MAG) and have them look at the back of the radio, and they sent it in throught their computer and got a code back from Germany. The guy in the service deparment told me they had to send all of the numbers back to Germancy to get a code. The cost was $45 plus tax.

That code from Germany excuse is a myth, to justify charging $$ for retrieval. Audi radios are all now made in Japan(Panasonic, even Blaupunkt!).

What do I Do???
My wife bought a new Battery for our 2006 A6. The company that replaced it constantly had power to the car while replacing. When she left the place the MMI Screen read "processing" then clicked on and off a couple of times, the next Day It would not turn on. A friend of ours has a Stereo shop he checked it over all Fuses are fine power to everything Radio, Nav, CD. Said he was confused. Took it back to the Dealer same thing The MMI screen comes on for a few seconds and shuts off the lights on the console turn on very dim for a second then off and you can hear poping in the Speakers. WHAT THE HELL DO I DO??
