Question about the Locking system - 2007 A6
I just bought a used 2007 Audi A6. This is my first Audi, so I don't know alot about Audis.
So here is my question:
When my car moves above 15 km/hr, the car locks the doors automatically. But the driver's door and the passenger door still can be opened from the inside even when the car is moving !! is this normal? can I keep the doors locked from the inside when the car is moving?

Most of the new cars these days are like that for safety reason incase you are in an accident and need to open the door. In the rear doors, there are child safety switches you can activate to prevent the door from opening from the inside, but if you activte it, they will not be able to open the doors from the inside as well, even if you unlock the doors.

LOL!!! they can change at what speed the locks engage but the fronts are always able to overide the locks. Not sure on the 07 but 04 and earlier if the door was locked the first pull unlocked the door and the second pull opened it.
