Please help left turn Signal won't work
#2
You don't say what year or engine type, might be helpful for the experts. I believe the turn signal post has contact points in it that can get dirty or wear out. So that might be it. I assume that the dash bulb warning light is not on. If you want to make a simple test switch a bulbs in the back from one side the other, if the good side still works you know it is not the bulb. Just to double check is not a bulb. The hazard/blinker relay is usually the hazard switch, so you say the hazards and right turn are working, so not that.
Double check the fuses, not sure if have a right and left. Open driver door to see panel on side of dash, look in manual for diagram.
Search online for turn signal switch, i think they are less than $100, you may need to replace it. I think it is something you can do yourself, or maybe a body shop will do it for a good rate if you bring them the part.

Check Rock Auto
If you need a turn signal stalk, Rock Auto had one for my 2000 A6 2.7T Quattro for $35 including shipping (new not rebuilt). Hard to beat that. I've gotten a lot of stuff from them for my imports, including my Audi, and never had a problem.
