Default OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT or UNAVAILABLE

====2000 A6 2.7T====

HID was an option or not even available? Someone told me on this forum that it was an optional equipment, but then i just called Audi dealership and they told me that it wasnt even available for that year. I am about to get an entire aftermarket HID conversion KIT from Philips including the bulbs (H1) However, if factory has the HID conversion KIT available for the 2000 i would rather go with the factory parts... It would probably be a lot more expensive to go with factory HID as opposed to aftermarket.

yea i figured, but i work at a dealership and our company also owns an audi store so i always get hooked up with everything i need from factory. Any part i want, i basically pay 10% over cost. I dunno, the aftermarket one i am getting is pretty reasonable too plus its made by philips though... one of the best bulb making company in the industry...

Well if you can get the stock one cheap, see if the installation is as easy the phillips kit.

Actually, you can get the A6 or allroad HID housings (complete) for about $500 each. You can also find these housings on ebay for about $250 each...and you retain the HID projector components. See my link below to my OEM upgrade for more details.

Good luck!
