I have used Mobil 1 0w-30 exclusively - changing every 10,000 miles in my 2001 2.7T 6 speed with sport package (since 50,000 miles I have done the oil changes myself. The car now has 145,000 miles on it, burns no oil, has original turbos and gets great fuel economy. The only maintenance to-date is timing belt, water pump, pulleys, etc and one brake job. I purchased the car new. I would like to replace the car around 200,000, but since Audi does not have an A6 with a standard transmission, I am thinking of an Audi RS4.

 

I bought my car for 5k, it has 153k miles, I've no idea what they used not when they changed it, the engine is all dirty with sludge inside and is leaking oill all over the top oil pan section and cam tentioners All that is in the process of being repaired right now.

Perhaps when I'll get 'your' car in the future it will be in exactly the same condition.[X(]

 

I'm with you A6from NH. The original owner and I both used Mobil1 changed every 6-8k. I'm at 101k with no oilleakage and original turbos. I have the same goal as you, but I don't plan to sell. I want to see how long my baby will run. I figure if I take care of it and it's mostly highway miles, 200k and beyond is reachable.

I looked at a beautiful red 2005 S4 with the 4.2l and MT6 and a performance exhaust, but at $35k it's just not worth it.

 

So if the 502 00 is the spec to follow, what is the 505 01 spec for?
