haha, i guess i'm a little late to the party because these guys pretty much already covered everything i was going to say. and i personally wouldn't probably get anything above 6000K for my a6, but that's just personal preference. so i guess good luck in your mission!

yeah see i got a dark blue car so i thought a blue tint would look nice but like you said nothing over 6000K i thought that was kinda extreme in color.

Trust me, in a couple months, your 6k bulbs are going to make you look like a ricer in a civic. Everyday I see fellow Audi owners with their 6k bulbs from a distance and think "look another Integra with aftermarket hids". Of course I then see its and Audi and hang my head in shame.

I wanted my Audi to look oem, not aftermarket. To each his own though.

I totally agree with Jeff. Don't over do it, 4300 should be enough and will look good.

if you're looking into updating the headlights to what the newer audis have, then halogens aren't going to do it, you have to use HIDs. personally, i think you'd be very dissappointed if you just stuck halogens in there.

Purple or blue lights = aftermarket ricers now? Umm..... no. My mom drives an Acura TL and it's got sweet as HID's. There's a huge difference between purple lights and actual clean looking HID's. I don't think putting 6k blubs in should be a proble, it'll look nice and you'll get the tint you desired for YOUR car. Screw any opinion that contradicts your original goal of matching the color of the lights to the color of your car.

Keep researching.
