He'll smoke you. Particularly if there are any turns involved. That's a very high performance auto for the dollar. If they didn't hold their value as well as they do (compared to the Audi), I'd be driving one instead of my A6.

I think they are slick cars. A neighbor of mine has one with the "works" on it. The car is super quick.
I agree with Southboro, if ther are any turns, it would kill us. We could only be lucky to get it on a nice stretch of highway. There I believe we could get it!

My friend has JCW (John Cooper Works) Mini which has a bigger supercharger on it and better suspension. It also comes with a premium package, cold weather package and a sport package. A lot of bennies for a little car. Anyways, we were going to a car show and were on a straight stretch of highway. We did a roll on at 30 mph and I pulled about a 1 1/2 car length on him. We tried again at 65 mph and I pulled almost 2 whole car lengths. We tried on an incline and I walked away. Where this car surprised me was at a full stop. The little S*** torched me bad and it took me getting to 125 before I passed him hard. Dont underestimate those cars. They are sleepers in stock mode and killers in MOD mode. They will out handle any AUDI anytime. Yes it's apples to oranges but I think they are cool little cars...Fun for track days. Wouldnt give up my A6 but I would consider buying a used one.

So I've got both - A6 and a Cooper S. A 3 litre A6 would probably level peg a standard cooper S in a straight line, a 4.2 would (and should!) out drag it. A works cooper S will prove a little more troubling - they're so much lighter that a standing start is going to be very very close.
Get to the twisty bits - the Audi doesn't stand a chance I'm afraid! The A6 is an OK handling car - a Cooper S, or even a standard Cooper is going to walk away...
