I just bought a 2001 A6 2.7T with 45000 miles for $14000.00I pick it up monday. Silver/black interior. Wanted an 02 orup 6 speed 2.7T but settled for this automatic 01 cause it was soo clean and low *** miles.Is that a decent price? The car is fresh as hell. Still has the new car scent(not the tree air freshener scent either)
Anyways, I'm new to audis. I was a veedub head (VWVORTEX SN ONEWICKEDVW) Had a MK3 98 jetta that I transformed into a show car. Sold that and got a 528i sport. Turned into a beemer head....Blew that up and now I'm an audi head. And i'll always have my 95 talon tsi w/ 6bolt swap.

What should be my first mods??? Are there any DIY mods i can do that I can do without buying anything? Which chip do you guys recommend? I know I'm definitely dropping it, and putting some BBS LM's. Would it be stupid to do staggered on a quattro? Anyway I can do the rear fog on both sides? Can I change just the dark grey part of the rear bumper to the 02 & up style w/ exhaust tips showing or is it a whole rear bumper? Are all S4 2.7T parts (motor) compatible with this car? Should I do BOV's or Diverter valves and whY? Which intake? What about front grills? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I personally never think buying an automatic is a good deal, even if it was cheap. But thats just me.

But seriously man, you are asking some of the most overasked questions on these forums. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but just try this first:

Pretty much everything you just asked has been asked MANY times before. But if you want the cliff's notes version I'll break it down for you like this, anything deeper I encourage you to do some research.

First mods: Chip, upgrade DVs, sway bars, downpipes (piggies)
DIY mods: ENDLESS....
Chip: APR (personal opinion and probably biased, but has smoother feel and is easier on the turbos)
Staggered ok?: It's fine as long as it is done properly
Dual rear fogs: Yes
Bumper: People have cut holes for exposed tips and they look very nice
A6 and S4 2.7 parts swap?: Yup
DV or BOV: NEVER put a BOV on an Audi, they have a recirculated system. Some people may argue this one, but it's made that way for a reason why **** with it?
Intake: Marginal to 0 performance increase, there are MUCH better ways to spend money on on A6 in my opinion.

Chip and HSport sways, DV's and Bipipe for reliablity
Lower it with H&R c/O or go PSS9 if you have $
LM's,,, hmm, can't go wrong with those
Some S4 parts don't fit obviously.. exhaust, tail lights...
Front grill... i am a fan of the mesh no RINGS LLTEK grill for an aggressive look as our front ends are a little gd pa style form the factory....
I don't recommend staggerred on a Quattro but it can be done. i think sizes go like this 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 but check.. Ask Andre on Audizine... Kievsky
