i'm a freakin rock magnet
yesterday on my way home a dump truck hit a rock on the interstate and it put a nice size gash in my headlight cover. today on my way home another dump truck passed my going the opposite way as me and he threw a rock into my fender putting a nice gash in the paint all the way to the primer! needless to say i need to fix the spot on my fender. is the spray touch up paint better to use than the brush method?

my attempts to spot fix dings and scrapes make the dings and scrapes look more obvious. To effectively cover the area you need to feather in the paint over a large area like....the whole fender. But, in the interim spot blotching and then feathering with a detail brush is your best bet..That sucks..I have had it happen before [:@]

If the ding is not huge (i.e., has not dented the metal), I'd suggest you get OEM touch up (in a bottle with a brush) and the Lanka kit. Check www.lanka.com for details.

speaking of rock chips...does anyone know what I can use to stop a decent size crack from spreading on the front bumper? The paint seems to be chipping in like a half inch like radius. Wondering if some sort of epoxy will help stop it from cracking more. any ideas?
