I would say since HIDs are quite bright you would probably only need to do the lows...most people I know don't even use their brights if they have HIDs.

alright thanks I think I might order my kit this weekend....maybe tonight have to work on college apps though and big cross town rivalry tonight as well

just ordered my kit and got the 6000 cause I just want to see how it looks and if it isn't that good i'll go lower (parents said they will pay for new bulbs

im in the same boat i got a question too.
i want to get the flashy "blue" lights but my question is:
do different kits have different levels of light color
for example:
xenoncompany1: 6000k = light blue
xenoncompany2: 6000k = purple color
i am considering getting 10000k for my a6. but i dont want purple lights. i just want the dark blue(not light color, but dark)...
similar to the bmw xenon, but just a TAD deeper in color..
i am buying the HID conversion kit from this link

The only way that the colors would be different were if one company had really really crappy quality bulbs, otherwise they should be the same. That said, you will hate 10000K lights. The output is not good and everything they shine on will literally be purple. If you want them to look blue like BMWs, stock 4300K will do it while giving you the best light output...in fact to oncoming traffic, our projectors make4300K even more blue/purple than BMWs.
