haha, sweeeeeeeeet, they've got some pretty cool stuff that you can buy besides just garage door stuff.

 

After programming the car using the existing garage door opener you must then add the HomeLink transmitter to the garage door opener. This is done by pressing the learn button on the opener motor unit and then pressing the HomeLink button in the car.

I got mine to work with my 2002 A6 2.7T. I did it like this. Cleared all the homelinks by holding down spot 1 and 3 until it blinked. Set spot 1 by holding it down till it slow blinked then used the hand held transmitter and waited until a fast blink. After that I waited a minute then located a button on my garage door opener. After I pushed that 1 had to push and release the homelinik spot 1, 2 - 3 times and it works! I think you have to do this within 30 secs.
